Elisa’s practice includes advising on all aspects of family law; simple and complex property, complex parenting, family violence and financial agreements. Elisa is also highly experienced in working on Childrens’ Court matters involving DHHS, with a strong focus on the welfare of children.
Elisa’s approach in assisting her clients is with a high degree of empathy and understanding of the many challenges her clients may face. Elisa encourages her clients to reach an outcome outside of the courtroom, and will gently lead her clients through navigating the separation process.
Before joining Rockwell Bates, Elisa practiced in a range of legal areas including residential conveyancing, wills, criminal, and most predominantly in family law and divorce. Having worked in both the Supreme and Magistrates Courts as a Clerk of Courts and Deputy Registrar, Elisa has significant experience in court practice and procedure, in particular within the Family Violence division.
Elisa holds a real interest in behavioural science, completing studies in both criminology and sociology.
Outside of work Elisa is a mad animal lover and loves to travel both within Australia and overseas.
