Daniel heads up the firm’s family law practice. Having grown up in Manchester, Daniel has been a proud Melbournian since 2007. He’s since practiced exclusively in all aspects of family law matters, including both simple and complex property and parenting disputes. Daniel’s experience also includes working for five years as a volunteer at the Fitzroy Legal Service family law clinic.
Although Daniel has frequently run matters in the Family Court, he’s a strong advocate of helping clients to resolve disputes outside of Court. In May 2017, Daniel became a nationally accredited mediator via AIFLAM (the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators), and where possible, he encourages clients to reach their own agreement in a respectful and dignified manner through processes such as mediation and collaborative law. Daniel is also available for briefing as mediator in family law matters upon request. Since October 2017, Daniel has been studying a Graduate Diploma of Psychology at Monash University, to advance his understanding about the science of human behaviour which impact on many aspects of family law practice.
Daniel is actively engaged in the Melbourne Jewish community, both professionally and socially.
Daniel is known for his inquisitive nature, fierce loyalty, relentless enthusiasm and being a natural-born optimist.
Outside of work, Daniel is passionate about most sports. He’s also an avid Manchester United fan and has followed the Western Bulldogs since he landed in Australia. He’s discovered his “inner-nerd” with a love of astronomy and loves nothing more than a Saturday night at the cinema watching the latest arthouse movie.
